    State cut make for leaner college budgets, Sugg says  Jun 9, 2008
    (AP) - University of Arkansas System President B. Alan Sugg says recently approved budgets for the system's colleges and universities are lean in light of state cuts and uncertainty over whether more money will be available later this year. In April, state fiscal officers announced $107 million in budget cuts for the 2009 fiscal year that begins July 1, including about $32 million for the state's two- and 4-year higher education institutions.
