    When asked whether or not this action was related to an alleged hazing incident that occurred at a Simpson College basketball camp in July, both board president Curt Hoff and Superintendent Jim Walker declined to comment. However, Walker had previously told reporters that the expulsion hearing was directly related to a school-run investigation into the incident, in which three Nevada high school students were sent home from the camp for allegedly hazing a fourth.     I tried to enjoy a short vacation with my family last week, but one thing was constantly on my mind - the disturbing news of what had happened at Simpson College this summer between four Nevada High School basketball players. Unless you've been living under a rock, you know by now that three Nevada High School boys allegedly attacked a fellow teammate during a basketball camp. (Nevada Journal, IA)

    At the beginning of the season, Erpelding had to find a way to replace the scoring and rebounding of Stacey Schutjer, who played this season for Simpson College.
