The Academic Support for College and Life Program (ASCL) at Pine Manor College is a one-year program that provides 10 young women who have aged out of foster care with an opportunity to live on an all female campus where they are provided with a college preparatory academic postgraduate year in which social and emotional support is also provided. Dr. Lori Arviso Alvord, the first Navajo woman to be board certified in surgery, and Pine Manor alumna Deborah E.
