    Shanon Hays Named Head Softball Coach  Jun 16, 2009
    Texas Tech Athletic Director Gerald Myers today introduced , who has guided the program at Lubbock Christian University for the past three years, as new head softball coach for the Red Raiders. Hays will become the seventh head softball coach in the history of the program, and the fifth since the sport was brought back as an original member of the Big 12 prior to the 1996 season.     Chaparrals claim NAIA baseball national title  Jun 1, 2009
    Lubbock Christian University has earned its second NAIA National Baseball Championship by doing what it had to do beat Point Loma Nazarene University twice. After a win on Thursday in the first of what would become two finals contests, the Chaparrals out hit the Sea Lions 17-13 on Friday to take an 11-8 win and the title at the 53rd annual Avista NAIA World Series.     Lubbock Christian, OKC advance to NAIA baseball World Series tournament  May 22, 2009
    Sooner Athletic Conference schools Lubbock Christian University and Oklahoma City University, ranked number one and number two in the NAIA, both advanced from their 2009 NAIA Baseball National Championship opening round tournaments last week to the 53rd Annual Avista NAIA World Series.
