Williams named McMurry tennis team MVP May 26, 2009
In the conference tournament, Williams was the lone selection from the ASC West Division to be named to the all-conference tournament team as he swept both singles and doubles against LeTourneau University. When the season ended, Williams was named first team all-conference in singles and doubles for the west division, and was also one of two players in the west side of the conference to be named first team all divisions, again for both singles and doubles, with partner Chris Bumann. RICHARDSON (February 27, 2009)--The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor mens basketball team built a double-digit first-half lead and then held off a second-half LeTourneau University comeback as the Cru opened defense of its American Southwest Conference Championship with a 73-62 victory over the Yellow Jackets Friday in Richardson. The victory came in a First Round game at the ASC Championship Tournament and moves UMHB into the second round of the tournament for the third straight season. (KWTX.com, TX)
