Dr. Jo Beth Mullens, president of the association and professor at Keene State College in New Hampshire, announced Oct. 30 that McKenzie was this year s winner of the Geography Award, stating that McKenzie s dedication to teaching and her development of extraordinary projects made her a shining example of an outstanding geographer.
