    The Northwest Indiana Health Research Institute would become a part of the Indiana University system and be housed at the Gary campus. Dr. Patrick Bankston, assistant dean and director of the IU School of Medicine's Northwest campus, said officials have been discussing the project for some time. (Northwest Indiana Times )
