Hanover WR sets single-game receptions record Nov 15, 2009
Daniel Passafiume has set the NCAA record for most receptions in a single game, catching 25 passes for Division III Hanover College. Passafiume finished with 153 yards receiving and two touchdowns in a 42-28 loss to Franklin College on Saturday. (Muscatine Journal, IO)

Winners of the Elks scholarships were Douglas Hoy, Carrie Adkins (Purdue University), and Susie Cochran (Hanover College). Students of the high schools in Hartford City area are urged by Harry Cochran, exalted ruler of the lodge, to enter next years competition for scholarships that range from $700 to $1400. Phyllis Fleming, 84; pioneer among women in physics Jul 16, 2009
Ms. Fleming graduated in 1946 from Hanover College with a degree in physics. She earned her master s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1948 and received her doctorate there in 1955. (Boston Globe)

Ayers earns 2A mental attitude award Apr 1, 2009
He is the son of Earl and Arlene Ayers of Brownstown, and plans to attend either Hanover College or Indiana State University to major in business. Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, the IHSAAs corporate partner, will present a 1,000 scholarship to BCHS bearing Ayers name in recognition of winning the Trester award, created in honor of Arthur L. A 1945 graduate of Winchester High School, she received her bachelor's degree from Hanover College in 1949 and her master's degree from Ball State in 1965. On June 10, 1949 she was married in Winchester to George Stotelmyer, and they resided in Winchester prior to moving to Connersville in December 1988. (Winchester News-Gazette, IN)
