The Gonzaga University women s basketball team opens the first half of its 2009-10 West Coast Conference slate with three-straight home games at the McCarthey Athletic Center. Gonzaga University s and have been named by Baseball America as two of the top prospects out of the Alaskan Summer League. Carpenter, a sophomore left-handed pitcher, was ranked the second best prospect in the league while Heid, the Zags senior centerfielder was ranked as the 10th best prospect. (Gozags.com)
