Glenville State College totaled 404 yards of total offense and scored the lone touchdown of the second half to edge Stonehill College, 21-14, in the Skyhawks football season opener Thursday night at I.L. & Sue Morris Stadium in West Virginia. Glenville State, ranked 22nd in the American Football Coaches Association Div. 2 preseason poll, amassed 267 yards passing and 137 on the ground to turn back Stonehill. (Easton Journal, MA)

Stonehill gets its season going on Thursday night in West Virginia against Glenville State College, which is ranked No. 22 in the American Football Coaches Association preseason Div. 2 poll. "I saw that Rick Trickett got the head coaching job at his alma mater which is Glenville State College, called him up, and he needed another coach so he kind of just made a spot for me," Kitchens said.
